The “Cognitive Agent” project has officially begun, an initiative aimed at improving the participation of students with visual impairments in higher education.

The project’s primary objective is the development of a portable intelligent system, based on cognitive agents and multimodal artificial intelligence, capable of facilitating real-time access to visual and gestural content produced in the classroom, such as whiteboard explanations, diagrams, or spatial references. The system will translate this information into accessible formats such as audio, braille, or haptic signals, fostering student autonomy and more inclusive instruction.
